The main research areas of the Faculty of Philology include the dialects of north-eastern Poland, syntax of contemporary Polish, Polish legal language, speech therapy, Romantic literature, the literature of “Great Emigration” (Mickiewicz, Słowacki, Krasiński, Norwid), the relation between Polish literature and the literatures of Western Europe, anthropological, literary and cultural aspects of old age, living in the borderland of national cultures – the intersection of the West and the East, audiovisual culture in Poland
