15th International Grouse Symposium

It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 15th International Grouse Symposium to be hosted by University of Białystok (UoB), Poland, on September 12-16, 2022. The 15th IGS  is co-organized by three institutions: University of Białystok, the Chapter of Polish Academy of Sciences in Białystok and Olsztyn and Directorate of Polish State Forests in Białystok.

The IGS conferences are periodically held under the institutional patronage of the Species Survival Commission, International Union for Conservation of Nature (SSC IUCN). The scope of the conference will highlight the progress made in grouse ecology, genetics and physiology applied to conservation and population management. We will particularly welcome contributions related to (1) grouse conservation breeding and reintroduction and (2) development of methods of monitoring natural populations.

The 15th IGS will follow the format of the successful 2018 Logan Symposium, with a day of workshops, 2-3 days of talks, and fieldtrips to grouse breeding centers operated by the State Forests.
